About the event
RunThrough Trails Ascona-Locarno is a trail run in the Locarno area, open to experienced runners and beginners alike. The route starts in the heart of the town and runs through the iconic Piazza Grande. It then follows the river and leads up into the mountains, where lush vegetation surrounds you and the paths invite you to pick up the pace.
The route climbs Pizzo Leone, reaching a height of more than 1,600 metres. The trails offer panoramic views over the lake below.
After the climbs and the run, you head back into town, where the restaurants and cafés of Swiss-Italian Locarno are waiting.
