Muse (Tribute) Resistance

About the event

This rock opera combines George Orwell's 1984 with songs by Muse. At its centre is Winston Smith's attempt to rebel against a totalitarian regime led by Big Brother.

Marco Rampoldi directs and Paola Ornati wrote the dramaturgy, weaving spoken word and music into one continuous stage narrative. Arcangelo Deleo plays the protagonist as both actor and singer, performing songs such as Psyco, Uprising, Take a Bow and Hysteria.

The set reinforces the Orwellian atmosphere with an imposing stage structure and telescreens that evoke the theme of control. The songs have Italian surtitles and are part of a single dramatic design.
