Locarno Christmas market 2026: 19 November – 6 January
Winterland Ascona-Locarno · 19 November 2026 – 6 January 2027 · 10:00–02:00 · Piazza Grande, Locarno (and the lakefront in Ascona)
What you find
Locarno's winter village fills Piazza Grande with an ice rink, light projections and installations, music and concerts. For 2026/27 it adds a 'Casetta del Gusto' for regional food and a Santa's house with a Christmas shop, alongside the Fondue Chalet, bistro, zip line and carousel. This edition also spreads to Ascona, where the lakefront gets a 700-metre ice path and the 'Lake Dome' lounge, with a Christmas train between the two towns.
