About the event
The photographic exhibition by Daniel Pittet can be visited inside Villa Emden and in the botanical garden of the Isole di Brissago.
Its starting point is that mutation generates diversity. Modest organisms give rise to fantastic beings through an unprecedented metamorphosis; life knows how to adapt and looks for new forms of balance. The life forms that appear in the photographer's lens are mutants. They adapt to environmental change in order to survive, and they do so with elegance, beyond all imagination.
The exhibition also asks where the boundary lies between the artist's imagination and the reality revealed through symmetry.
