About the event
The exhibition is devoted to the work of Athos Bugno and his symbolic reflection on the relationship between humanity and nature.
In his paintings the artist looks at human realities and at the fragile balance between people and the Nature that welcomes them. The themes come across symbolically and through an intense use of colour, without directly showing the tragedies they refer to.
A central element of his research is the use of primary colours, layered on top of one another and almost never mixed. This gives his work a particular depth and is part of his personal research into colour.
In his more recent works, his research turns towards a technique in which brushes play an increasingly marginal role.
